1. Who we are
Zirak is a trademark of ZIRAK for Travel and Tourism Co. L.L.C, operating two services in Iraq through its apps and platform: rides (taxi), connecting a passenger with a nearby driver, and parcel delivery (Zirak Express), carrying parcels from sender to receiver with optional cash collection on delivery.
By using any of our apps or this website you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or older to create an account.
- You agree to provide accurate details (name, phone, address) and keep them current.
- You are responsible for your password and for all activity under your account.
- We may suspend any account on suspicion of fraud, abuse, or breach of these Terms.
3. Rides (taxi)
- Fares follow the tariff shown before you confirm the ride and may change with route or waiting time.
- Drivers are independent partners; Zirak provides the technology platform and quality management and is not itself a carrier.
- Unlawful conduct inside the vehicle is prohibited; hostile behaviour toward a driver or passenger leads to account suspension.
- A ride may be cancelled before the driver arrives; repeated late cancellations may incur a cancellation fee.
4. Delivery (Zirak Express)
- The sender confirms the parcel's contents are lawful, match the declaration, and are packed for transport.
- Prohibited items include: cash, gold and jewellery; weapons and ammunition; narcotics or legally banned substances; flammable or explosive materials; live animals; and irreplaceable documents.
- Cash collected on delivery (COD) is settled to the sender after the delivery fee and any agreed amounts, following our settlement cycle.
- When delivery fails (wrong number, no answer, refusal, or a wrong order), the parcel waits on the sender's decision: retry or return.
- Returned parcels travel back through our warehouse, where the sender collects them or receives them on a return trip.
5. Liability and claims
- If a parcel is lost or damaged through our fault, compensation is the declared value at sending, up to a pre-agreed ceiling; it excludes lost profit and indirect damages.
- We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control (weather, road closures, security conditions, network outages).
- Claims must be filed within seven days of delivery or of the expected delivery date.
6. Drivers and partners
Anyone may apply to drive through the app. The application is reviewed by the company for identity, documents and eligibility, and operational features unlock only after approval. Partnership is on an independent-contractor basis and creates no employment relationship unless agreed in writing.
7. Payments and fees
Prices and fees are shown in the app before you confirm an order. Tariffs may change with costs; changes apply to later orders only.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time; the date at the top reflects the latest version. Continued use after publication means you accept the updated version.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Iraq, and the courts of the Kurdistan Region — Iraq have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
